キャッチボール (Catch ball)

　小学校の頃って、体育って男子と女子と一緒にやってたよね。

　僕は５・６年生の時、朝練や夕練をやって校内のスポーツ系の大会ではほとんど優勝しているような熱血クラスにいました。

　今となっては運動と縁遠そうな外見になってしまった僕も、当時は市内の団地リーグに所属する軟式野球チームに入っていたので、ソフトボールとかソコソコ得意だったんだ。

　そう言えば、ソフトボールの球技大会の前もクラスで残って練習をしていたんだけど、校庭でひそかに憧れていた子とキャッチボールしたこともあったっけ、記憶の中の彼女は、夕日に照らされて金色に光る髪と輝くような笑顔を僕に向けてくれています。

　今頃どうしているんだろう・・・。
